Our neighborhood listening sessions continues this week. We have three scheduled. One will be hosted by the parish in the Fellowship Hall this Sunday, October 15th, at 12:30 P.M. to accommodate those who live in the Freeport area. The second session will be held on October 18th, at 6:30 P.M., hosted by Larry and Judy Lutz in their home for those who live in the Sarver area. And the third session will take place on October 21st, at 6:00 P.M. at the residence of Patty Hughes. This session is also for those who live in the Sarver area. Those who missed the first two neighborhood listening sessions can still attend one of these three sites. Please feel free to join in, or you can call the host family ahead of time to inform them about your intention of attending and maybe to ask for directions to their home. I am encouraging you to attend so that, as one parish family, we can journey together and discuss openly the topics needed to address and plan for the future so we may continue to make our parish active, vibrant and relevant to our time. Your presence will be highly appreciated. Your input and your sharing will be valuable to us, especially the staff, and to those who are in leadership roles in our parish, so we can better serve you.
On the other hand, beginning Monday, October 16th, the painting of the interior of the Church will begin. Dan Timmons, who did the painting of our steeple, will once again be our painter. He will be assisted by his crew. That being said, our Church will not be available during the day for several weeks except for the weekend masses and any funeral masses that we might need to schedule. The weekday mass from Monday though Friday will be temporarily held in the Conference Center at the regularly scheduled time - 8:00 A.M. The Conference Center is located inside our Administrative Center.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but I assure you that after the interior painting of the Church is completed, you will appreciate it and welcome its transformation.
We ask our patroness, Mary, Mother of God and Her Son, Jesus Christ, to continue to bless and guide us in all our endeavors. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
